Review the test and notice
- Confirm which check valve, relief valve or test point did not meet the required result.
- Keep the water-authority notice and test report together.
- Note the assembly manufacturer, model, size and serial number.
- Check the correction or retest deadline.
- Share photos of visible leaking, corrosion or site-access limitations.
Repair or replacement depends on condition
- Some assemblies can be returned to service through cleaning or replacement of suitable internal parts. Age, corrosion, freeze or impact damage, parts availability and the cost of repair may make replacement more practical. The failed result and an inspection guide that decision.
Retesting and reporting complete the process
- A repair alone does not create a passing result. The assembly normally needs to be tested again, and the required report must reach the authority that issued the notice. Scylla can review the notice and explain the next step for the property.
